Description:
The property is composed of two cross vault rooms, two barrel vault room and one flat ceiling room at the ground floor; three cross vault rooms at the first floor for a total area of 70 sq.m. about. The two floor are joined by a masonry staircase. A terrace at the first floor (15 sq.m. about) and another terrace at the second floor (30 sq.m. about) complete the whole.

The existence of some menhirs certifies that the spot was already inhabitated during the Bronze Age; it is true nevethless that the origin of the present town dates back to the Romans who exploited the richly supply of the local waters in order to erect private and public baths. Castruccio’s fief in 1332, Bagnolo went lately under the rule of Costellos, Del Balzo Orsinis, Olivetanis order of Saint Catherine of Galatina.
Valuable is the parish church, built in honour of Saint George martyr, patron saint of the town, in 1851, with the substantial concurrence of the faithful parishioners and above all the Papaleo family, of whom a sumptuous mansion is still retained. In conclusion the old monastery of the Conventual Fathers needs to be mentioned.
